What is gobblr?
gobblr is the diary for venues that feed people. Table bookings, ticketed events, private parties, weddings and the enquiries that turn into them all live in one place, so the whole team can see what is truly booked tonight, next Friday and on New Year’s Eve. It starts with a free listing that gets you found by people planning something, and it carries each enquiry through to a confirmed booking with menus, dietaries, payments and tickets attached. From first enquiry to last orders.
Who is gobblr for?
Places that feed people: pubs, restaurants, hotels, cafés, farm shops, and the chefs and caterers who run pop-ups and off-site feasts. Not every event has to be a meal. A Christmas fair, a quiz night and a wedding breakfast all sit in the same diary.
Isn’t gobblr just Google?
Google knows a place exists and when it is open. gobblr is the diary, so it knows what is actually free, and it runs the event: the menu choices, the deposits, the guest links. The two work together. Your gobblr booking link goes into the Reservations field of your Google Business Profile, so Google sends people in and gobblr looks after them. Search is changing too. People increasingly ask the assistant on their phone where to take twelve people for a birthday, and gobblr listings are built so those assistants can read them.
Do I have to run events to use gobblr?
No. Plenty of venues start with the free listing and let hosts bring them group bookings: a work Christmas do, a sixtieth, a team lunch. The booking arrives with everyone’s choices made and the money collected, so the spreadsheet is no longer. Running your own ticketed nights is there when you want it.
How does a booking come in?
A host finds your listing, or follows the link from your website or Google profile, and sends an enquiry. It lands in your diary, not in a shared inbox. You reply, agree the date and the menu, and gobblr does the chasing: each guest gets a link to say yes, choose their plate, flag an allergy and pay their share. By service, the kitchen sheet is already filled in.
What about allergies and dietary needs?
Every guest chooses their own plate and notes anything the kitchen needs to know, on their own phone, before the night. It all lands on one kitchen sheet with the table, so nothing is scribbled on a scrap of paper on the pass.
Does gobblr replace the booking system I already pay for?
Yes, if you want it to. The listing is free and gets you found. The diary is the Operations Suite, and it holds table reservations, events, weddings and private dining in one place, on the iPad on the pass. Venues use it instead of a separate reservations tool, with no per-cover fee.
What does it cost?
The listing is free, and so is the diary for up to 35 bookings a month, with every feature on. After that it is £35 a month for 350 bookings or £75 for 750, and bigger venues agree a price with us. Public tickets sold through gobblr carry a small fee that the guest pays on top, 6% plus 30p on the free diary, so you receive the full ticket price. A private event or wedding where gobblr collects the money is £5 for the whole event plus card costs. Bank transfers marked paid in the diary are free. The full table is on the features page.
Can I keep my website?
Of course. gobblr sits behind it. Put your gobblr booking link on your site and in your Google Business Profile, and enquiries flow into the diary. If you would rather, your listing page can be the place you send people, in your own colours.
How do I get started?
Create an account, put in your website address, and gobblr drafts most of your listing from what is already online: your spaces and your menus. Check it, add a photo or two, and you are listed. If you would rather talk it through first, message us on WhatsApp on 07464 442620 or email hello@gobblr.co.uk.
Where is gobblr?
We are in Helston, in west Cornwall, near the Lizard, and our first venues are a short drive away on the coast. gobblr is starting in Cornwall, Devon and Somerset, and any venue in the UK that feeds people is welcome.
Who is behind gobblr?
Two co-founders. James spent two decades cooking, from kitchen porter at fourteen to executive chef, then five years designing and fitting kitchens. Wendy spent fifteen years moving businesses from paper onto screens. gobblr is built by Fourteen Seed Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales.
