How gobblr looks after the information needed to make a celebration run calmly.

Last updated: 23 August 2026

1. Who we are

gobblr is operated by Fourteen Seed Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16940050) with its registered office at 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ. Fourteen Seed Ltd is the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.

This policy explains how we use personal information when you visit our website, create a Venue listing, organise a celebration, reply to an invitation or contact us. If you have any question about it, email hello@gobblr.co.uk or message us on WhatsApp at +44 7464 442620.

2. Information we collect

  • contact and account details, such as your name and email address;
  • Venue, place and event information you add to gobblr;
  • guest replies, attendance, menu choices and messages connected to an event;
  • dietary requirements and allergy information where it is needed to plan food safely (see section 4);
  • payment information needed to record an event transaction (card details themselves are collected and held by our payment provider, Stripe, not by us); and
  • technical and cookie information about how our website is used.

3. How we use it, and our lawful bases

We use information to provide gobblr, set up and manage accounts, help a Venue and Host run an event, communicate about the service, manage payments, and keep the service safe and reliable. Under UK data protection law, we rely on:

  • performing our contract with you, for running your account, listings, events, invitations and bookings;
  • our legitimate interests, for keeping the service secure, improving how it works, answering enquiries and producing anonymised, aggregated insights that never identify a person, a Venue or a business;
  • your consent, for dietary and allergy information (see section 4) and for any marketing messages, which you can withdraw at any time; and
  • our legal obligations, for example keeping the financial records the law requires.

4. Dietary and allergy information

Allergy information is health information, and it is the most sensitive thing gobblr holds. We ask for it for one reason only: so the people preparing and serving food at your event can do so safely.

You choose whether to share it. When you do, we process it with your explicit consent, and we show it only to the people who need it to plan and provide the food for that event: the Host and the Venue team responsible for it. We never use dietary or allergy information for marketing, profiling or any purpose beyond the safe running of the event it was given for, and we never share it in any form that could identify you outside that event. You can ask us to delete it at any time via hello@gobblr.co.uk.

5. Sharing information

We share information with the Venue, Host or guests involved in the same celebration where it is needed to make the event happen. We also use a small number of trusted service providers to run gobblr: website hosting (Vercel), our database (Supabase), payments (Stripe) and email delivery (Resend). Each processes information only on our instructions. We do not sell personal information, and we never share allergy information beyond the event it belongs to.

6. Keeping information

We keep information only for as long as it is needed. In practice that means:

  • account information: for as long as your account is open, then deleted when you ask us to close it;
  • event information, including guest replies and menu choices: for as long as the Venue or Host needs the event's records, after which it is deleted or anonymised;
  • dietary and allergy information: only as long as it is needed for the event it was shared for, and deleted earlier on request;
  • payment and transaction records: six years, as UK tax law requires; and
  • enquiries and messages to us: for as long as needed to deal with the enquiry and a reasonable period afterwards.

gobblr is a young service and some deletion is carried out by hand rather than automatically. If you want something removed sooner, ask us and we will do it.

7. Your rights

You can ask for access to, correction or deletion of your personal information, object to or restrict some uses of it, ask for it in a portable form, and withdraw consent where consent is the basis we rely on. Contact us at hello@gobblr.co.uk and we will explain the options that apply to your request.

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, though we would welcome the chance to sort any concern out with you first.

8. Cookies

Our cookie choices are explained on the Cookies page.

9. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will update this page and refresh the date at the top. Significant changes affecting how we use your information will be flagged to account holders directly.
